ACUPUNCTURE for fertility
CLASSICAL CHINESE MEDICINE FOR CONCEPTION, CYCLES AND CREATION
Fertility is not just about reproduction — it is about how life moves through us. In Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM), fertility is a reflection of inner harmony: the strength of our Essence (Jing), the flow of Blood and Qi, and the resonance between the physical and emotional. Whether you’re trying to conceive, regulate cycles, improve sperm quality, or recover after loss, Classical acupuncture offers a highly individualised approach to support your path.
Fertility is understood through the health of the Kidneys, Liver, and the Extraordinary Vessels, particularly Chong Mai and Ren Mai. These systems govern the formation of Essence, the movement of reproductive fluids, the quality of menstruation or sperm, and the relationship between the Heart and reproductive organs — known as the Bao Mai in women, and its spiritual parallel in men.
Fertility is not just hormonal or structural. It includes how we store trauma, how we inherit patterns from our ancestry, and how our Spirit connects to the process of creation. Acupuncture creates space for all of this to be addressed — gently, respectfully, and effectively.

ACUPUNCTURE FOR FERTILITY
A different way of being with fertility.

I know that fertility is rarely just about getting pregnant.
It's about "trying".
The excitement of a test and then it "not happening".
Trying to be and do everything perfectly in a world where we have no control.
Staying on top of your cycles and questioning your choices.
Considering all the possible scenarios of how to optimise fertility.
Constantly thinking, worrying and doubting.
The pressure it places on relationships.
For some people, the most difficult part isn't the body itself,
it's living month after month with uncertainty and the unknown.
Together, let's begin something else.

When fertility becomes pressure
Fertility struggles often arise in bodies that are already trying their best to cope in a demanding world.
Sometimes there is a clear medical explanation.
Often times there isn't.
People can be told that "everything is normal" on paper, which makes things make even less sense.
This can feel deeply personal.
There can be shame and guilt.
This puts even more pressure on a system doing its best.
And slowly, fertility stops being a natural rhythm and starts to feel like a task.
This is absolutely not a failure of the body.
It's a very subtle suggestion and an invitation for change.

A different approach
In my work, fertility is not treated as a "problem" to be fixed or forced into a solution.
We don’t rush anything.
We don’t override signals.
And we absolutely don’t reduce fertility to a single organ, hormone on a piece of paper, or an outcome.
Instead, we slow everything down enough to be able to really listen.
We begin by understanding how your system has adapted physically, emotionally, and energetically over time.
We then work at a pace your body can actually respond to.
And we attempt to create the conditions where regulation can return naturally.

Acupuncture is a big part of this process, but it’s not the whole story.

I have been shown that the deeper work is about safety, timing, and restoring trust in the body’s own intelligence.

How acupuncture can support fertility
Acupuncture supports fertility by working with the body as a whole system rather than a group of isolated parts.

This can include support for:

-
menstrual cycle regulation
-
hormonal balance
-
ovulation and luteal phase support
-
preparation for IVF or IUI
-
recovery during assisted fertility treatments
-
recurrent miscarriage support
-
stress patterns that affect conception
-
recovery after long periods of trying
-
Low sperm count, motility, or morphology
-
Hormonal imbalance (testosterone, LH, FSH)
-
Chronic stress, burnout, or nervous system exhaustion
-
Erectile dysfunction or reduced libido
-
Ejaculatory issues or discomfort
-
Testicular pain, varicocele, or pelvic tension
-
Fertility challenges following illness, injury, or medication
-
Preparing the body ahead of conception or IVF
-
Fertility support for partners during conception journeys
Treatments are always individual. There is nothing general or prescriptive.
There is no fixed protocol, only a process that responds to what’s present.

What sessions are like
Sessions are unhurried and spacious.
I will invite you to share your experience.
We listen carefully, together, without rushing to conclusions.
Only when we are ready will needles be used.
The aim here is not to "make something happen" but to attend to whatever that has been preventing your body from settling into its own natural rhythm.
Often, when the system softens, change follows.
A note on outcomes
Fertility work always carries hope, and uncertainty.
This is a journey together into making the unknown more comfortable.

I don't promise results.
What I offer is a space where you are met with care, patience, and respect.

I have seen that this level of attention and care supports conception, regulation, resilience, and a different relationship with their body during a challenging time.

All of that matters.
